Things are really shaping up and becoming more visable. The cockpit and bridge deck were set. Allowing for a better feel for heights and bridge layout. A small modification in bridge layout was made with sliding the helm console aft and elimiating port bench seating and adding a co-captain chair and more tackle and chart storage. The salon bulkheads have been installed and the fore deck mold was built and the deck part has been pulled, after being vacuum bag with nida core composites. Air conditioning, freezer and refrig. compressors are in and are being installed. Marine Exhaust delivered the exhaust and surge tubes today and those are being installed. Underwater Lights, LLC delivered the four led underwater lights and they have been installed across the transom. A bridge wing mock up has been completed and shape decided on. The shower mold is almost complete, so that we have a complete fiberglass shower part with no wood. The teak wood has been delivered and has been planed for the toe rail, coming, and cockpit floor.
We will be setting the fore deck this afternoon, preparing for Danny Martin this weekend to arrive to make templates for the interior cabinetry work. Materials of teak and holly have already been delivered to his shop in Wanchese for fabrication.
More mechanical and electrical hook up will be going on and finalized over the next few weeks. Along with tower, interior, shaft and prop work, bridge seating, and bridge wing/ chart deck construction.
I have updated the pics on the yacht page with some of the latest developments and a number of people have stopped by checking things out over the last few weeks. Pictures really don't do the craftmanship justice, so stop on by and check it out for yourself next time your down.
