For those who are unaware of the work schedule for the shop, the shop is open 9-10 days straight starting on Monday, 7:00am-until.  We work thru the following weekend until either Tuesday or Wednesday morning depending on the stage of work completed.  The reasoning behind this is both Dennis Denzin and Wade "Woody", both known as two of NC's premire boat builders, both still permanently reside in Nags Head and Wanchese, NC.  Dennis has been on board since the beginning is running and developing the every day operations of the shop.  This work schedule shows their loyal dedication to both this project and their families, giving extended time to both.  They will be wrapping up this work session tomorrow morning and heading back to the outer banks for some much needed time with their families.  Also in the shop, we have been fortunate enough to find quality local help in Robert, Martin, Taco, and Brian.  I would like to thank all of the guys who have helped and are dedicated to the quality we are achieving with this company.  And I have no doubt once the economies direction is under control and the public comes to see what we are working towards, all will be impressed with the true hand craftmanship of our boats.

With that being said, stop on by next week or weekend and check things out.  Everyone is getting that mid winter cabin fever and what a better way to brake it up than to stop by a boat shop and see something new and maybe even learn a little something.

A recap of prodution for the last work period has had a focus on small parts and setting floors and cockpits.  Small parts such as console, lids, vents, lower guards, refrig and freezer boxes, drain trunks, fish box linear, gaff lockers, and more have been molded and are in finishing.  The foward cabin sole was set and it enabled us to layout the forward arrangement.  The original drawing was modified to achieve even more storage, a larger head and berth.  You can see the revised layout, now with color added, at the top of the yachts page.  The cockpit was set once again to get final fit before finishing the underside in the laz location.  A temporary mock up of the bow deck crown was set for visual purposes.  With the mock up we end up with a 6'6" head room in the foward cabin.

On the next go around, part of the guys will still be working on finishing small parts.  However, our main goal will be mechanical hook ups.  Most of the equipment is in and we will bringing on two more hook up guys to help speed up this process.
